RN/LPN Manager

Manage the BLOOD collection operations for the American Red Cross mobile and fixed site COLLECTION OF BLOOD PRODUCTS to ensure the achievement of annual goals in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible. Analyze and remedy efficiency issues and ensure training in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Oversee deployment of appropriate staffing levels. Monitor, evaluate and correct flow of blood donors to provide good customer service and enhance the donor experience.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations.

  • RN/LPN preferred with seven years staff management experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, analyze problems, recommend appropriate solutions and assimilate information quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills to deal with all levels of staff, hospital personnel, physicians, volunteers and donors.
  • Territory includes Lake County District of the IN-OH Blood Services Region; candidate's residence in Northwest Indiana preferred.
