RNC Engineer responsible for upgrading hardware and software for a Government Customer on a 3G Nokia Siemans Network project in three states.  Install, Configure, Optimize Nokia RNC’s and Node B.  Responsible for building the Node B into the RNC; Troubleshooting communication lines and ensuring sites are live; Provide support to customers for operations and maintenance of RNC.

Perform Network element testing, SW/HW implementation; Performing necessary configuration of RNC Data fills; software maintenance; license key maintenance.

Interfacing with NSN ECC Care Team.

Requirements: 

• MUST HAVE 2+ years experience supporting NOKIA platform and troubleshooting RNC elements.  Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.


• Candidate should have a 4-year college degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.


• Understanding of wireless data networks including IP networking, ATM, 3G related Planning/ Architecture


• Understanding of wireless network implementation and operations services.


• Understanding of network interface protocols, protocol analyzers and network specifications.


• System-level understanding and knowledge of 3G/UMTS.
