ROI Associate

PHNS is currently seeking an HIM Associates for an evening/overnight/flex position in Gulfport, MS.


 


This position will require the employee to  willing to work any shift, but primarily overnights and weekends on short notice and will fill in for employees who are out sick or on vacation. Position guarantees at least 25 hours per week, but may be up to 40 hours depending on need.



 


The HIM Associate is expected to work under direct supervision and according to established policies and procedures, is responsible for assembling, filing, retrieving, maintaining and distributing medical records and related forms.  They will also be responsible for the releases medical records to requestors when proper authorization is established and will performs routine clerical tasks and other related duties as required to meet the needs of the HIM Department.



Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent


·         Completion or current enrollment in healthcare centered education program preferred


·         Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred


·         Excellent customer service skills


·         Knowledge of HIPAA policies


·         Basic office skills and knowledge of office procedures and practices


 


Potential candidates must be dependable and willing to work evenings, overnights, and weekends on a flexible schedule.
