Position Description:
The Radar Business Development Manager will actively coordinate, lead, and support the effort of identification, prospect development, capture planning, capabilities determination, teaming negotiations, and proposal development activities for SRC’s Systems Technology Business Area.

This position requires experience developing new business opportunities in military radar development programs for the U.S. Government. The successful candidate will be coordinating and planning business development activities with business area managers and working to create and implement related development processes and tools. This position will require leading successful program capture teams.

Responsibilities:

• Identify new business opportunities and participate in the lead qualification process to determine which new opportunities should move on to capture
• Participate in the overall capture process to include teaming and win strategies and the bid/no-bid decision process
• Assist capture and proposal managers in pre and post request for proposals
• Release proposal development activities ensuring proposal submissions are compliant and responsive
• Lead, coordinate, and participate in customer visits
• Determine trade show selections and participation
• Analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements
• Promote consideration of company products and services to fill customer requirements
• Participate in the preparation of sales account plans and campaigns, business plans, product task forces, and product development plans
• Conduct sales presentations and maintain up-to-date and accurate sales records
• Remain well informed of new products, services, solutions, and other information of interest to customers
• Provide marketing intelligence to management and participate in the development of sales forecasts and strategies

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific or technical field; a master's degree is preferred
• A minimum of 10 years experience in the development programs of Radio Frequency (RF) electronic systems
• Five years experience in project leadership, business development, or program management directly related to military radar programs
• Knowledge of the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence industry acquisition processes
• Proven experience in leading program capture teams
• Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential
