KDLS 105.5 FM, Des Moines' Spanish Radio, has an immediate opening for a high-energy, motivated, and talented sales person to sell local advertising and sponsorships (No Spanish required). KDLS offers a great opportunity to get involved with a growing company and growing market. Candidate must have a minimum of one year media sales experience with a proven record of goal attainment and new business development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Present radio media schedule, appearance packages, sales promotions and sponsorship opportunities to existing and new KDLS clients with a focus on agencies and corporate accounts.


• Providing outstanding client service and meeting specific monthly local revenue goals.


• Prepare and execute a successful sales plan that meets and exceeds monthly, quarterly and annual revenue budgets.


• Work closely with sales staff to ensure company overall goals are met.

Education:

• High school or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 1 years sales experience in a similar role


• Any sales and/or sales promotion, sponsorship sales, special events sales, media sales preferred


• Experience in planning and execution of special events also desired

Technical Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel

Other Skills:

• Able to address customer/client needs while following company procedures


• Effectively able to present information publicly to potential clients


• Able to communicate with others through written and verbal communication

Radio Sales is a challenging career that renders an unlimited earning potential. Base salary per year is $30k against commission.
