Chester R. England began hauling potatoes in northern Utah and southern Idaho in 1920. The consummate entrepreneur, he found innovative ways to move food and freight throughout the Intermountain West in the days where paved roads and trucking were still very new ideas.

Joined later by his sons Gene and Bill, C.R. England became the first carrier to offer 72 hour coast to coast refrigerated food delivery. In the days before the interstate system, this was unheard of.

Today, after having grown to a $1 billion global transportation company, CR England now operates in North America, China and beyond.


Range Instructor

CR England’s Burns Harbor Indiana Training Facility has an opening for a range instructor. 

Prospective trainers are taught how to teach what it takes to be a successful CR England driver.

The Range Instructor will teach entry level backing and pre-trip to new drivers. Insuring students learn the skills necessary to pass the CDL test.

Minimum Requirements:

Class A CDL

Three years recent OTR tractor/trailer experience

Excellent safety and communication skills.

Must meet all the criteria of a Experienced Driver by Driver Recruiting.   

Must have great people skills. 

Willingness to learn a new skill 

Professional appearance demeanor and behavior.
