Job Description:

Responsible for maintaining the Tool Control Program, the Calibration Program and the Segregation of Non-conforming Parts for the Lake Charles, LA site.

As a Receiving Inspector, responsible to the Chief Inspector for all items received into the Facility. Receiving Inspectors shall make certain that the quality of all materials and articles received for use by this station are in accordance with company purchase orders, drawings, manufactures specifications, and Federal specifications as applicable.

Performs Receiving Inspection and checks items against supporting documentation for quantity, adherence to quality notes, part and tool numbers and physical damage.

Receiving Inspection ensures there is documented evidence of trace ability and airworthiness for all flight hardware and software. This may be in the form of a “Serviceable Material Tag” from an approved repair facility, or by a statement on the invoice, packing slip, etc., that the part is “NEW”, “AIRWORTHY”, or other similarly worded statement.

Receiving Inspector verifies that incoming items comply with quality notes applied to the purchase order and are protected from contamination or damage. Items not in compliance are segregated in suspense pending disposition.

Receiving Inspectors will inspect “raw materials” for use in the manufacturing and repair process. This material is available with only standard specification marking. Assurance of material chemistry and other pertinent data may be required to ensure that raw material purchased has been tested and meets the required specifications.

Enters the results of this receiving inspection into the SAP data base using the appropriate codes.

Performs annual and periodic inventories of equipment and stores, shelf life and haz-mat items.

Performs various quality audits under the guidance of Chief Inspector.

Processes material and equipment requisitions for technical personnel, working with the Supply Chain Management group.

Required Skills:

Must read and understand the English Language

4 years experience in working in a warehouse, a receiving department, a parts department, in a certificated FAA repair station or a logistics related position

Experience using Microsoft Office Products such as excel and word

Desired Skills:

Experience receiving Aircraft parts experience

Experience entering data into SAP

Clearance:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. Special clearances may also be required. In order to receive a secret clearance you must be a US Citizen.
