PLS currently has a great career opportunity at our location in the Fargo area. PLS provides truck unloading services for our customer's grocery warehouse facility. This facility runs a day shift, seven days a week. 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced candidate who meets the following expectations:

·         provide leadership and direction with respect and dignity to our diversified workforce;

·         successful management experience in the warehousing /transportation industry;

·         solution based customer service orientation;

·         ability to multi-task and adjust priorities to changing operational needs;

·         intermediate computer skills in a Microsoft environment;

·         good math / problem solving skills

·         positive interpersonal communication skills

·         a college education is a positive consideration.

Additional position requirements include:

·         P /L responsibility; ability to identify controllable variances and take corrective action;

·         efficient workforce scheduling and labor controls; prioritize work assignments to meet operational needs;

·         recruiting, selection, and training of workforce;

·         provide positive communication and performance counseling to associates;

·         provide training /development for first line supervisors;

·         assure safe work practices, OSHA compliance, and accident prevention;

·         monitor work related injuries;

·         manage dock receiving and unloading operation to assure efficient and effective use of staff;

·         assure accurate and timely operational reports;

               ·         maintain a positive relationship with warehouse operations management and  

               transportation/ delivery personnel
