As part of the Telecare family, the Region Six Recovery Center is a 16-bed locked inpatient facility. This is a locked program that provides more structured support to individuals with a mental illness who are transitioning out of state or acute hospital psychiatric settings with clients ranging in age from 19-65. Region Six Recovery Center is a resource that helps people envision their recovery path, build important skills and regain hope to move forward on their journey.
Region Six has an immediate opportunity for a Part Time Recovery Specialist. The schedule will be Saturday, Sunday and Monday (3PM -11:30PM).
As a Recovery Specialist, you will:
-Establish therapeutic relationship with residents
-Attend, lead and participate in group meetings
-Document residents' activities of daily living, response to interventions and significant behavior changes
-Admit/discharge residents including completed documentation
-Participate as a member of the treatment planning team
Qualifications:
-BA or BS degree
-Two years experience with psychiatric clients in a mental health setting OR the equivalent of an associate’s degree and two years of experience working with clients with mental health issues OR five years direct care experience working with mental health clients
-CPR certification and negative TB screen are required
-Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice
