Description

The Experienced Hire Contract Recruiter for New York location, is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to fill experienced hire positions (excluding Partner, Principal, Executive Director and Director levels) in the Ernst & Young Financial Services practice with a concentration on recruiting information technology advisory professionals. Contract Recruiter coordinates recruiting activities at the transactional level, develops and maintains relationships with local BU leaders and Field Human Resources (HR), and takes ownership of delivery targets. The Experienced Hire Contract Recruiter is the point person for candidates, Field HR, the Experienced Recruiting Leader, and the Ernst & Young Shared Services Center representatives as it pertains to recruitment and onboarding. The individual is responsible for building strong local internal relationships with members of the Americas People Team (APT) and client serving professionals, as well as external relationships, as he/she is usually the first point of contact to internal and external candidates. Contract recruiting position is for approximately 9 - 12 months.
Responsibilities
Recruit to fill experienced hire positions with best available talent as directed by practice leadership and Americas People Team.
Function as main recruiting point of contact for key client groups and internal and external candidates.
Develop and execute on appropriate sourcing strategies, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives and creative sourcing techniques.
Manage the internal transfer process of inbound recruits to designated Areas and business units.
Support the lifelong relationship strategy by building close working relationships with local Alumni Relations resources, and participating in onboarding and integration processes.
Maintain a constant and steady focus on the local marketplace and disseminate local market (competitive) intelligence to key client groups.
Utilize the firm's recruitment tools and processes to execute work flow.
Embrace the firm's branding strategy in the recruitment lifecycle.
Achieve a BU, practice or Area's experienced hire recruitment goals.
Use a solid understanding of the firm's tools, processes, protocols and service line knowledge to source, recruit and hire experienced-hire candidates.
Make strong recommendations to the Area and BU on candidates to be interviewed and evaluated for positions within the firm.
Collaborate with practice and Americas People Team by using sound business judgment and outstanding communication skills to assist in the ultimate hiring decision. Drive the recruitment process for a practice, BU or Area.
Example: An Experienced Hire Assistant Director recruits and screens a client service candidate. He/she presents the candidate's resume and background to the hiring manager (partner) and facilitates the scheduling and interviewing for an in person interview with other client serving professionals. Recruiter gathers feedback, collaborates with partner group, and extends an offer to the candidate. Recruiter maintains contact with candidate until after the candidate begins work with the firm.
Receives general supervision and can work effectively with little supervision on a daily basis. Requests assistance from Recruiting Leader on complex issues. Consults with members of Americas People Team as needed.
Strong knowledge of firm recruitment policies, processes, and protocols. Broad understanding of the firm's service lines and a solid understanding of the practice which he/she supports.
May be requested to present hiring statistics and data at Area practice meetings or local Area Americas People Team meetings.

To qualify, candidates must have:
  • a bachelor's degree
  • approximately 8-10+ years of full life cycle experienced-hire recruitment experience in financial services from an IT consulting, financial or professional services environment
  • strong information technology recruiting knowledge base and prior experience recruiting IT advisory (client facing) professionals
  • general knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices
  • ability to quickly adapt to and embrace new technology
  • ability to utilize firm resources efficiently and effectively, as needed, including Investigations, General Counsel's Office, Center for Mobility Services, VISA and Immigration, etc.
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • ability to utilize strategic thinking skills and work to collaborate with fellow team members on best practices
  • strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with clients
  • ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex recruitment and hiring issues with little guidance from leader
  • ability to effectively lead training sessions to fellow recruiters and/or client serving professionals
