Red Prairie Developer

SUMMARY:  Develops and maintains high level design for the logical, physical and application set necessary to support Distribution and Logistics Operations. Work closely with the operations team to gather the requirements and understand the operational objectives to ensure that we deliver the expected functionality.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

1.    Strong knowledge in Red Prairie Discrete to support the deployment and support of the Distribution platform.

2.    Collaborates with internal I.S. team to develop cross-functional IT Distribution solutions based on real world business requirements.

3.    Enforces IT Distribution standards and actively participates in all stages of IT Distribution SDLC including research, design, programming, testing, implementation and documentation.

4.    Provide 7x24 production support for business critical systems as necessary.

5.    Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (SOX, etc). Responds to auditors’ requests to demonstrate compliance.

6.    Reviews new projects or proposals to ensure compliance with IT Distribution standards.

7.    Establishes strong working relationships with client groups and suggests direction using a collaborative approach to solve business process issues.

8.    Serves as subject matter expert in IT Distribution.  Collaborates with IT organization to share Distribution knowledge and skills.

 

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

Education and Work Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

·         Minimum five years experience in Information Systems

·         Recognized as Subject Matter Expert in IT Distribution and Logistics processes

 

Technical/Functional Competencies:

·         In Depth knowledge of Red Prairie Discrete product architecture (Integrator, MOCA)

·         Development experience in C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic, Oracle

·         Development experience in Microsoft.NET and Unix C desirable

·         Mastery of IT Distribution and Logistics, associated standards, and knowledge of relevant vendors.

·         Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service.

·         Research aptitude and maintains current industry knowledge.

·         Demonstrated cross-functional problem solving abilities.

·         Experience in a multi-national systems environment.
