Develop & implement Regional sourcing strategies that will provide competitive advantages to the SBU and support the development of Global sourcing strategies by GSGPC. Execution of Global and Regional commodity and supplier strategies utilizing the 7 step procurement sourcing process. Delivers agreed yearly AOP targets

Develop and execute negotiation strategies to provide secure supply lines, contribute toward global financial results, and promote company innovation initiatives for NAT Region.

Participates and contributes to Global internal technical councils designed to facilitate alternate sourcing and new source development.

Provide leadership and support for Supplier Relationship Management allocated to the Regional Category Managers.
Requirements
  • 4 year technical or business degree
  • BS in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, .
  • MBA a plus
  • Minimum 5 years commercial experience in Procurement, Marketing, Business Planning, Sales or Technical.
  • Preferred experience: Working across various regions and cultures.
  • Advanced purchasing fundamentals, commercial contract laws, international business acumen and supply chain processes.
  • Expert in negotiations skills, financial analysis, communications, strategic thinking, relationship building, and management skills.
Tasks
  • Category Management: Develop and implement the Category Strategy to include analysis of global markets, trends, technology, value chain analysis, clean sheet costing, SBU needs and long term sourcing plans. Develop negotiation plans and lead/coordinate Global supplier negotiations
  • Company Financial Results: Contribute to Goodyear's EBIT and Cash Flow objectives through negotiations and effective use of global leverage to reduce materials & services costs. Improve Working Capital through pay term negotiations and compliance.
  • Council Collaboration: Supports technical council to align the goals of R&D, QTECH and the procurement department across a wide range of alternate sourcing and new source development strategies. Coordinate necessary actions to achieve timely execution and compliance to company policies. Participate and support Global Category Manager in the facilitation of the commercial council.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Develop world class relationships within supplier organizations to align the suppliers strategies with the companies focus on total cost of ownership, advantaged supply chain, innovation and continuous process improvement.
  • Market / Competitive Intelligence: Develop efficient channels for capturing effective market intelligence. Leverage this data through should-cost models and other forms of financial or negotiation strategies.
