FIRST, a Manchester, New Hampshire based nonprofit organization, seeks a Regional Director for the Salt Lake City area.

About Us

FIRST is a rapidly growing organization that aspires to transform American culture, making science, engineering, and technology as cool for kids and as attractive for corporate sponsorship as sports are today.  FIRST is best known for its nationwide annual robotics competitions, in which teams of high school students sponsored and assisted by local companies and community volunteers, design, assemble, and test a robot capable of performing a specified task in competition with other teams.   FIRST also runs the Jr FIRST LEGO® League, for six to nine year olds, FIRST LEGOÒ League, for middle school children, and the FIRST Tech Challenge.

Job Summary

The Regional Director will work collaboratively with the VP of Field Operations, and the FIRST staff in the development, direction, growth, support and control of the FIRST Programs at the local and regional level.  The ultimate goal is to create and maintain volunteer driven, self-sustaining and growing programs in Utah and the surrounding states.

Qualifications

This is a contractual position.  We are looking for people with expertise in recruiting, fund raising, program management and leadership and possess a desire to be part of a truly dynamic organization
