Position Description

Regional Director

Position Description:

Primedia currently has a career opportunity for an experienced Regional Director to join the Phoenix sales team of our Apartment Guide division. Primedia is an extremely disciplined and structured sales organization that aggressively promotes from within and offers over 30 years of stability and growth.

Job Summary:
Overall management responsibility for assigned regional operations of the publication. Direct Supervision of Publishers of assigned Markets. Responsible for budgeted Revenue and goals set for the region as well as implementation and adherence to business guidelines as set forth by Primedia.

Essential Functions:

Sales

  • Maintain rate card integrity.
  • Maintain contract integrity.
  • Responsible for overseeing all Sales Tracker activities.
  • Review Publisher's reports and market recaps.

    Personnel
  • Hire, train and evaluate Publishers in assigned region.
  • Monitor and assist with hiring, training and evaluating all sales personnel.
  • Aid Publisher with grooming and career planning for top sales personnel.
  • Responsible for the motivation and on-going development of Publishers.

    Production
  • Ensure format compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with Electronic Graphic Group and their policies, procedures and deadlines.
  • Ensure Fair Housing advertising compliance.

    Distribution
  • Evaluate each Market's distribution regularly.
  • Coordinate with DistribuTech all distribution activities.
  • Responsible for informing DistribuTech as to all distribution issues pertaining to assigned regions.

    Administrative
  • Ensures proper collection procedures are followed at Market level.
  • Aids in office organization and standardization.
  • Enforces policies regarding all reporting functions and their flow to corporate.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity contract files.
  • Supervises budgetary compliance.


    Perform other duties as required by Manager. Interact with all levels of managemen, Corporate personnel and clients.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required. Proven ability to develop and initiate strategies for revenue growth.

    Five-seven years successful outside sales/business management experience preferred. Three years experience with a proven track record for hiring, managing and training exempt personnel.
