Specialty Products is a global supplier of a range of products, including inorganic and organic fine chemicals used in variety of applications; chemicals and packaging materials for the pharmaceuticals industry; specialty additives used in applications including PVC extrusion and personal care products; advanced fibers and composites for armor and industrial applications; and materials used in authentication, solar panels and energy storage.
The Field Marketing Manager role in Specialty Additives can span the areas of: new product introduction, project management, technical marketing, product management, marketing communications, competitive positioning, and strategic planning.
Major areas of responsibility include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Drive profitable growth of the S&RM business through active management of a sales pipeline. Must be able to successfully turn opportunities into sales.
• Build the organization's knowledge of markets and key segments
• Build the team's understanding of use of key marketing tools, such as: segmentation, Voice of the Customer (VOC), Quality Functional Deployment (QFD) and value proposition.
• Work collaboratively with Sales on developing and communicating value propositions for Honeywell's offerings. Develop sales tools to be used in the field.
• Lead the training and development of sales and distributors.
• Work collaboratively with Technology on managing new product introductions and technology development
• Continuously assess market trends, technical developments and competitive environment and communicate clearly to the Additives team.
• Develop annual marketing communications plan for the region. Taylor marketing communications materials and strategies to local needs.
• Support the development of the strategic plan (STRAP) and annual operating plan (AOP).
• Support identification and acquisition of capabilities that fit with HON strategy
• Collaborate with other regions and other HON SBEs as needed.
Qualifications requirements:
Incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, per Honeywell standards. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering, chemistry or similar technical degree strongly preferred; Business education, such as MBA also preferred)
• At least 7 years marketing and sales experience in relevant industry (additives, coatings, inks or adhesives). Strong preference will be for candidates that have worked for an Ink, Coating or Adhesive manufacturer.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time

• Demonstrated success in profitably growing an industrial business, in either sales or marketing
• Demonstrated skills in understanding customer needs. (VOC, QFD)
• Demonstrated success in creating and capturing value through multiple commercial mechanisms
• Demonstrated ability in analyzing industries, developing marketing and sales plans and following up on the execution.
• Bias for action and results orientation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills before both small and large groups.
• Very good at interpersonal skills and developing relationships.
• Ability to market/sell products and services at multiple levels within an organization and to multiple functions.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
