Position Description:
Our Regional Finance Director of the Western Division will be responible for Collaborates with regional, branch and corporate management to design effective growth and profitability plans in each market through the use of financial analysis and modeling.

  • Coordinates preparation of regional/branch business plan and expense budgets, and monitors their performance.
  • Provides research analyses and cost benefits studies to assist regional company in strategic planning.
  • Analyzes loss trends and provides insight on pricing decisions and rate filings.
  • Responsible for the preparation of staffing models and head count monitoring and reporting.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial reports for regional and branch operations.
  • Analyzes loss trends on a direct and net basis.
  • Researches and resolves problems in financial reporting as required.
  • Monitors regional and branch Focus Goals.
  • Researches and resolves problems with expense reporting, charge-backs and ABC assignments as required.
  • Monitors impact of involuntary pools on results and strategizes ways to minimize impact.
  • Interact with leadership and sales team

    Position Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business-related field or industry equivalent experience.
  • understanding of the business and operations; ability to understand and explain trends in results; ability to research accounting and operational issues and explain their resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills (Excel and Word processing) within a Windows environment.
  • Working knowledge of systems reporting access tools such as BusinessObjects or general ledger queries in Peoplesoft environment.

  • Experience in the Property Casualty industry is preferred, not required
