SUMMARY

Reports to the Director / Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.  Directs and coordinates all areas of finance activities for multiple locations by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Serves as primary contact for Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) and Corporate Headquarters in all financial matters related to their stations. 

 

Accompanies RVP in customer, vendor, and station meetings and visits as needed and provides financial assistance in all aspects of growing and maintaining the business.

 

Empowers Sr. Area Accounting Managers / Area Accounting Managers / lead location accounting personnel to assist RFM in regional duties in accordance to their own job description.

 

Completes, coordinates, reviews, and supervises station level monthly and annual forecasts within the assigned region.

 

Completes the intra-month financial outlook and explains the variances to forecast for the stations within the assigned region.

 

Completes, coordinates, reviews, and supervises station level annual budgets within the assigned region.

 

Identifies and analyzes underperforming businesses and makes recommendations as to how to improve their financial performance.

 

Compiles and analyzes wide variety of financial information and provides opinions and improvement recommendations based on operational and other indicators.

 

Reviews and validates all PA’s for the region which relate to new business. Additionally, analyzes the new business vs. PA’s and formulates opinions as to why the new business is performing above, or below, the expectations.

 

Identifies areas of improvement in the stations’ accounting and purchasing procedures and implements corrective action.

 

Serves as point of contact for station audits, providing communication to CHQ controller, and taking action to correct any potential or outstanding points.

 

Follows BBA Aviation accounting policies and IFRS guidelines and ensures that stations follow these. Additionally, ensure that all ASIG company policies and procedures are fully implemented and the station’s are in compliance.

 

Informs and communicates CHQ Controller if any unethical behavior occurs; complies with ASIG code of business ethics policy

 

Has an understanding of Airport concession requirements in order to participate in audits and/or assist as necessary.

 

Provides mentoring, training, and assistance to accounting personnel at locations of responsibility. Additionally, assists with the staff evaluation of base accountants and base administrative staff.

 

The individual must meet the attendance standards for this position.
