Regional Marketing Supervisor
Regional Marketing Supervisor Position Summary:
The Regional Marketing Supervisor: - Identifies the marketing needs, formulates the plans, and administers the budget for all marketing support funded by VGT for Native American Tribes, Charitable Organizations, Commercial Casinos, and Racinos.
- Manages the Marketing Services Coordinators allocated to the corresponding region, ensuring that all goals are met as set by the Marketing Services Director.
- Works directly with the Marketing Services Director, Regional Marketing Supervisors, Marketing Services Coordinators, and casino clients to identify marketing needs that correspond with each lease agreement.
- Helps to formulate the programs related to VGT reinvestment in its customers and oversees appropriate expenditure of designated client budgets.
- Applies strategic and analytical skills to best deploy VGTs portfolio of marketing services and managerial skills to oversee the Coordinators.
- Is active in the field as a consultant.
- Reports to the Marketing Services Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all activities implemented by Marketing Services Coordinators.
- Ensure financial and service goals are met as set by the Marketing Services Manager in coordination with VGT Sales requirements.
- Be an excellent team player, acting as a liaison between coordinators and marketing management.
- Be an active listener when qualifying client needs and interests related to marketing needs.
- Set annual calendar for marketing partnerships with each customer.
- Manage and assist in the development of marketing plans and promotional activities for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and action assignments.
- Conduct pre-planning meetings with internal resources and external customers to develop promotional strategies, tactics, calendar, and budgets.
- Identify optimal, cost-effective use of marketing promotion investments to ensure greatest increases in WPUPD ROI.
- Complete budget pro forma and post forma reports for portfolio of marketing services.
- Keep Marketing Services Manager informed of status of department activities by attending meetings and submitting reports.
- Provide analytical thinking and written summaries evaluating marketing current practices and SWOT analysis to create marketing best practices.
- Assess need for additional client reinvestment.
- Escalate VGT performance issues to supervisor.
- Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Business.
- A minimum of 7 years experience in a management position, supervising at least 5 staff members.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in managing marketing promotions, special events, sales promotions, marketing communications, and consumer contests programs or programs equivalent in nature.
- Familiarity with casino direct marketing, public relations, and advertising activities.
- Familiarity with BINGO, Class II Slots, and Racino Environments.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license, if required, to work with various casino locations and tribes.
- Must be able to travel 75% of the time.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must have PC skills including familiarity with Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must have and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be sitting, standing, and walking. Approximately 25% of the time is spent seated while working at a desk or in a meeting. Balance of time is spent standing or moving between work areas while performing other job duties: traveling and at client sites. The associate must be able to lift and move 50 pounds short distances with or without a mechanical aid. The associate must be able to Speak/Hear. Clear dictation and accurate hearing are necessary for effective communication with associates, co-workers and clients. (Cultural and/or regional accents are acceptable.) Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary for automobile and other travel responsibilities associated with this position. The associate should be able to retrieve work and appropriate reports, paperwork, tools, and supplies as necessary.
