JOB SUMMARY:


 



  • Accountable for strategic design, approval, and implementation for the sales program, including trade lane sales.
  • Accountable for business development, business growth, and maintenance of all product services.
  • Accountable for supervision and develop of relative budgets, P/L’s and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Accountable to National revenue growth.
  • Accountable for strategic direction, business growth, and management of the Regional Sales Executive personal in the Americas.
  • Accountable for market awareness, as it relates to the sales promotion of our products and service offerings.

 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


 


A. Assume accountability for Business Unit- Sales Services and accounts relative to:



  1. Employee performance, productivity, and morale.
  2. Customer and partner communications, service and business retention.
  3. Relationship and integration to all product management and personnel.
  4. Development and adherence to all documented corporate processes, policies, and procedures.
  5. All corporate initiatives as they related to the business unit and/or the corporation.
  6. Implementation and integration of commerce to the business unit.
  7. Financial and cash management, including expense to revenue allowance, margin, yield and credit terms.

 


B. Responsible for profitability through:



  1. Seeking out opportunities to develop transportation margin and other revenue sources.
  2. Judiciously manage expenses, and rationalizing resources across product lines and throughout the organization.
  3. Effectively manage service, profitability and productivity through metrics.
  4. Targeting business growth through existing BDP International accounts
  5. Targeting business  through business unit product management network.
  6. Cash management.

 


C. Performs other job-related duties and functions as required.


 


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


 



  • Provide operational, corporate or global support as necessary
  • Efficient use of problem solving skills, innovation and product strategies.
  • Target and identity training needs of staff.
  • Assist in the development of global business
  • To ensure that all decisions and actions take into account the utmost safety in respect to the quality of the Environment,and health of employees and contractors in which BDP interacts with on a daily basis.

 


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:


 


Experience:  Minimum five (5) years freight forwarding sales experience.


Education: Four year college degree is preferred or and additional 5 years of sales experience.


Knowledge: Transportation industry, regulatory, product, strategic implementation and sales.
