PennBarry, a business unit of Johnson Controls, is a leading manufacturer of full service ventilation products for commercial and light industrial applications, including commercial and industrial fans, energy recovery units, make-up air systems and kitchen hoods.

What you will do



  • Regional Sales Manager are responsible for driving sales growth of the product rep channel within their territory. They are expected to achieve sales goals and quotas for region.

  • Define priority markets in your region to target for growth based on market size for fans, market characteristics (e.g. mechanical vs. sheet metal market), competitor landscape etc.

  • Determine readiness of current reps in those markets to support PennBarry’s growth and formulate plans to improve channel readiness.

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct recruitment and sales training of product reps throughout designated territories and markets when required.

  • Ensure product representative sales force is provided with the necessary tools and equipment to make presentations and cost quotes for each project bid

  • Lead the resolution of rep issues by coordinating across applications engineering, customer service and factory teams.











What we look for

Required



  1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Management, Engineering or Marketing from an accredited four-year College or University

  2. Three to Five years of successful outside sales experience in the air distribution industry is required


Preferred

  1. Commercial fan sales experience with existing product rep relationships is highly preferred

  2. Analytical – able to solve problems using data.

  3. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  4. Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.

  5. Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
