Regional Sales Manager - Medical Imaging - Capital Equipment  (Position ID: 135 RSM)  Candidate from the Atlanta, Charlotte, Baltimore or Philadelphia areas preferred.

 

Our client manufactures a game-changing medical imaging technology used in hospitals, imaging centers and private practices world-wide.  This mid-stage start up company uses advanced medical imaging equipment to save lives and is looking for aggressive sales specialists to drive business in a patient-centric environment. You will be in-servicing medical professionals in the presence of patients in ICU, Radiology, the emergency room and on the floors, so your ability to adapt to strenuous circumstances (and occasionally life threatening patient situations) is critical.

Traditional Region Management position where the manager will lead, motivate and direct sales representatives in a multi-state region.  RSM will travel with each Sales Representative every 30-60 days and make high level sales calls and presentations, conduct demonstrations, review sales and sales pipeline.


 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a sales team of 3-6 and drive sales growth and manage relationships in the areas of in radiology, neurosurgery, neurology, otolaryngology and ICU/PICU/CCU and/or the emergency room.
  • Manages pipeline and sales development of 3-6 representatives and  while maintaining key relationships with the company’s prospective and installed base customers, and leverages relationships to drive recurrent sales cycles for the company’s products.
  • Identifies, qualifies and cultivates new sales opportunities and effectively manages leads and sales cycles through installation and on-going service.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, and manage salespeople and including their funnel of capital sales opportunities sufficient to insure that annual quotas are met or exceeded.
  • Prior sales experience in the field with a demonstrated ability to manage, and close capital sales cycles for products that sell for greater than $200,000.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and manage a breakthrough technology, and establish a new marketplace.
  • Must be effective in partnering with marketing and product management to build the strategies and selling tools that will further support increased selling effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sales teams through a budgeted and more importantly, an off budget process.
  • Comfortable and facile with the use of financing and leasing products to close business

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree (minimum)
  • **REQUIRED** 5+ years demonstrated level of achievement in Surgical or Medical Capital Equipment sales.
  • **REQUIRED** Experience selling "Off-Budget" Capital Equipment into a Hospital or Imaging Center
    **REQUIRED** Executive selling experience background. (CEO/CFO/COO of hospitals) with demonstrable results
  • Demonstrated ability to interact intelligently, and with credibility, with surgeons and allied healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical benefits of products to economic value to the health care provider and with financial based selling tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large geographic area -- multiple states.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • 75% plus travel required.
  • An understanding of the financial operations of hospitals, reimbursement, and selling off-budget.
