What you will be doing:
This position is responsible for leading a direct sales team of 8 to 10 Regional Account Managers. The Sales Manager will develop and execute a Sales Strategy to meet the assigned revenue quota. Direct customer contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment.
What we are looking for:
Candidate must have proven experience in finding new business. Candidates should have 7-10 years of experience in selling Telecom/Technology products with 3+ years in Sales management, successful B2B direct telecommunications sales experience in a fast-paced, competitive data/telecommunications OR IT selling environment. A track record of success and recent experience in this environment is required. A college degree is preferred. Proficiency with PC based applications such as Word, Excel and Siebel a plus. Some travel will be required.
Cogent Communications’ core hours are from 8:30A-5:30PM. Managers maybe required to stay on or before said time.
