As a Regional Sales Manager, your essential job functions will include the following:
Sales Management & Sales Administration
• Attaining sales numbers vs. goal utilizing strong analytical skills as well as balance of local market intelligence.
• Launch pilot program(s) nationally, as assigned.
• Communicate the Dealer Tire strategic vision to internal and external customers and provide direction to carry out company goals, while living company values.
• Executing sales strategies and tactics to achieve desired results.
• Assisting in the implementation of Dealer Tire programs and sales initiatives.
• Controlling expenses: payroll to budget.
• Assisting in the development of market strategies and development of products and services consistent with Account Management go to market plan.
• Identifying competitive threats, trends and issues, elevate key trends.
• Managing sales activities through the Dealer Tire Selling Process.
• Conducting annual performance reviews.
• Conducting Operations Reviews with Sales Leadership quarterly.
• Expense control, goal setting and marketing intelligence.
Staff Effectiveness hiring, developing and coaching a team that achieves all goals through strong leadership, strategic and tactical execution on given sales strategy
• Recruiting, on-boarding and training, and overseeing Division Sales Managers.
• Providing strategic and operational direction for Division Sales Managers.
• Directing field work with Division Sales Managers on the Selling Process.
• Recommending appropriate staff levels and or business solutions to reach desired goals.
• Developing an open book culture.
• Prepare, review and monitor monthly expenses for region and create accountability with direct reports for line of sight impact with expenses.
• Facilitating a continuous learning culture. i.e., Develop Personal Plans.
• Facilitating Sales Management Process.
• Team/individual Development.
• Definition of current state.
• Individual self assessments.
• Utilization of Competency model.
• Develop and manage Individual Growth & Development Plan (IGDP) through Divisional Sales Managers.
• Aligned with tactical execution.

Regional Alliance Relationships
• Establishing relationships with Alliance Regional Partners.
• Focus on business planning process with TOP of the Region.
• Focus on Regional objectives and priorities.
• Develop commitment to joint ownership of results and actions.
• Coordination of joint contacts.
• Expanding Dealer Tire market share and presence enabling organization to achieve goals.
• Facilitating field relationships between Alliance field staff and Dealer Tire sales staff.
• Coordinating and attending trade shows and seminars.
• Establishing communication between Dealer Tire and Alliance Partner.
• Developing and executing business, plans to achieve common goals.
• Communicating regional market intelligence through Dealer Tire channels.
• Consistent communication with Program Management.
• Development and institutionalization of Alliance specific executive summary reports.
Other Duties as Assigned.

Requirements:
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or Management or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales, Sales Management or Automotive with upper management experience required.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Facilitation and Negotiation skills required.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment required.
• Experience managing direct reports & developing improved processes is preferred.
• Develop and execute territory sales plan.
• Meet field activity objectives - dealer calls, presentations, training sessions, service drive inspections.
• Clear identification of dealership specific needs and engage appropriate Dealer Tire resources to solve that need.
• Up to 80% travel
• Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
