The mission of Intellimed is to be the premier provider of the most current, objective, intelligent and accurate health care information.  This information is made available through its software systems with Internet data access to multiple data sets.  This software system, along with its consulting services, offer key participants in the health care industry intuitive reports that results in marked performance improvement for the customer.

 

Core Business

 

Intellimed’s current core business is the sale of its proprietary integrated decision support software providing access to hospital discharge and ambulatory care data sets. It also provides a successful consulting service that assists health care companies identify market and operational improvement opportunities. This assistance includes both physician- and population-based information. Because of the importance the industry has placed on high quality HIPAAcompliant data, Intellimed has made this data its primary product, making the Company one of the premier health care information providers. The Intellimed system enables clients to make strategic health care positioning decisions, management decisions, resolve performance problems, address quality of care issues and manage risk.

 

Clients

 

Intellimed’s clients are nationwide and include payers, hospitals, physician clinics, universities, self-insured organizations and other medical device companies.  Many clients use the Intellimed system and consulting services for the following purposes:

 

·         Accurately profile their business lines of patient services and those of their competitors.

·         Dramatically reduce operational costs associated with patient and physician utilization, facility resource use and contract opportunities.

·         Negotiate managed care contracts from a knowledge base of accurate and complete severity-adjusted data, to account for differences in patient populations across different physician and facility providers.

·         Conduct a facility competitive analysis and market share review.

·         Improve the quality of care by identifying clinical and operational opportunities and benchmarks and then monitoring key indicators.

·         Evaluate Medicare and Medicaid risk management.

·         Prepare and modify strategic plans related to new or expanded clinical services, new locations for those services through population and demographic trending, and identifying key market segments.

·         In those states that collect physician data, profile physician market share and hospital utilization of services and conduct physician need assessments.

·         Support financing decisions and improve bottom-line performance.

Position Description The primary responsibility of this position will be to strengthen Intellimed’s position in the market through the sale of Intellimed products and services. This position also provides recommendations for product and service development, product and service pricing, marketing and sales budgets, and the development of sales objectives. This position will be assigned to the Eastern region of the continental United States.

 

Reporting Relationship

 

The Regional Sales Manager— President

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

·         Work with other sales team members and other departments to achieve Intellimed’s sales objectives.

·         Assist the sales team to carry out direct marketing and sales activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales.

·         Help create and develop materials for direct marketing to target accounts and opportunities.

·         Assure that all sales enquiries are responded to by email, telephone and personal visits.

·         Monitor and provide weekly sales funnel reports to the President on sales opportunities and activities.

·         Carry out market research, competitor investigations and current customer surveys in assigned territory to determine sales plan effectiveness.

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Minimum six years of relevant direct sales experience to health care provider or payer organizations.

·         Experience in the sale of software and information service products highly desired.

·         Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

·         Work effectively within a team environment to meet company goals.

·         Ability to achieve a sound working knowledge of Intellimed’s “Strategic Decision

·         Support System” (the product) plus the process used by health care providers and payers in the acquisition of software and information systems.

·         Working knowledge of the SalesLogix CRM program is a plus.

·         Experience in understanding, penetrating and maintaining customer accounts with strong direct selling skills in technical, long-lead sales environments.

·         Ability to interface with people at all levels and to effectively introduce Intellimed’s products and services at the executive level.

·         Experience in working with marketing agencies would be useful.

·         Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and maintain personal and group deadlines.

 

Business and Selling Skills:

 

·         Must be an excellent communicator: face-to-face, telephone and email.

·         Ability to demonstrate success and experience managing major account customers and large contracts would be a plus.

·         Ideal background would be in business management, sales or support services in a segment of the health care industry.
