Physical Therapy Assistant

• Six visits per day with travel reimbursements for home health visits. May work others hours as needed for department.
• Provide excellent direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and perform patient care programs
• Provides comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services to patients with functional deficits resulting from injury or illness
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plan appropriate for each patient after medical record review and patient evaluation.  Evaluates patients using appropriate tools and following program protocols

Senior Medical Coder

• Will assist the HIM Director with the maintenance, support functions, staff training and implementation of systems and devices used in the Health Information Department.  Must maintain a quality standard of 97% on coding diagnosis and procedures.
• Reviews and analyzes ICD-9 CM diagnoses and procedure codes as outlined by coding guidelines
• Maintain knowledge in areas of compliance, government rules and regulations

Requirements for PTA:

• Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Must be licensed by the state of NC.
• One year of PTA experience preferred.

Requirements for Senior Medical Coder:

• 3 - 5 years of coding experience preferred; inpatient, outpatient, ED and Ancillary coding.
• Associates degree or Bachelors degree helpful
• RHIA or RHIT required
• Skilled with MS-DRG's, APC's, POA's and HAC's. Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid requirements
