Physical Therapy Assistant
Six visits per day with travel reimbursements for home health visits. May work others hours as needed for department.
Provide excellent direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and perform patient care programs
Provides comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services to patients with functional deficits resulting from injury or illness
Develops and implements individualized treatment plan appropriate for each patient after medical record review and patient evaluation. Evaluates patients using appropriate tools and following program protocols
Senior Medical Coder
Will assist the HIM Director with the maintenance, support functions, staff training and implementation of systems and devices used in the Health Information Department. Must maintain a quality standard of 97% on coding diagnosis and procedures.
Reviews and analyzes ICD-9 CM diagnoses and procedure codes as outlined by coding guidelines
Maintain knowledge in areas of compliance, government rules and regulations

Requirements for PTA:
Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
Must be licensed by the state of NC.
One year of PTA experience preferred.
Requirements for Senior Medical Coder:
3 - 5 years of coding experience preferred; inpatient, outpatient, ED and Ancillary coding.
Associates degree or Bachelors degree helpful
RHIA or RHIT required
Skilled with MS-DRG's, APC's, POA's and HAC's. Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid requirements
