The qualified candidate will be a Florida-licensed (or eligible) RN with BLS and NRP certification. A minimum one-year Labor and Delivery experience in a high acuity setting required. The ability to demonstrate the following core competency skills is essential: assessment and planning; technical and organization; interpersonal communication and critical thinking.
About Homestead Hospital
Not long ago, a visitor to the Homestead area would have thought, “What a quiet, sleepy little agricultural area!” Today, Homestead is one of the fastest areas of growth in Miami-Dade County. While we may be growing, we’re not exactly interested in becoming a metropolis. But the newly-built Homestead Hospital would be at home in any big city in the nation. The original Homestead Hospital was built in 1940. Our facility was completed in 2007. It’s a bright, shining gem in a semi-rural setting, with the latest technology, medical-surgical units, all private rooms, a 24-hour Emergency Center and Children’s Emergency Room. Our Birthing Suites welcome more than 1,300 babies a year. And everywhere you look, you’ll find natural light, soothing colors, open spaces and friendly faces.
