RN/LVN FIELD NURSES


Description:

    •  Furnishes service in accordance with agency policies
     •  Uses the plan of care and makes necessary revisions to provide individualized services
     • Furnishes those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills as directed by the DON and   
         Assistant DON
     • Prepares clinical and progress notes
     • Initiates appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures
     • Coordinates services
     • Informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patients condition and nees by phone and in  
       writing
     • Provide services within agency service area as scheduled
     • Counsels the patient, parent in meeting nursing and related needs
     • Participate in in-service programs
     • Supervises and teaches other nursing personnel
     • Reports any changes in client's condition to supervisor immediately
     • Other assigned duties as designated by the DON and Assistant DON

Qualifications

     • At least 18 years of age
     • High school graduate or equivalent
     • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
     • Licensed as a registered or practical vocational nurse by the State of Texas
     • One year experience in nursing
     • Ability to demonstrate assessment and skills in caring for pediatric client for pediatric RN Supervisor
     • Knowledge or experience with gastric button feeding and care, but will train
     • Knowledge or experience with ventilators, tracheostomy and care, but will train
