Critical Care Nurse
As a critical care nurse at Baylor, you’ll know you’re making a difference in your patients’ lives. Our nurses are expert practitioners and valued partners of the critical care team. They improve patient outcomes with evidence-based practice – and they are recognized for their accomplishments.

At Baylor, nurses are empowered to make decisions that improve patient care. We are committed to a shared leadership model that encourages all staff nurses to be actively involved in setting the clinical policies and procedures for their unit.

Our critical care nurses work with high acuity patients in a very fast-paced environment to prescribe, delegate, coordinate and deliver patient care. They ensure that patient care meets our high standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations. They supervise care delivered by the patient care team; coordinate the plan of care; educate patients and staff; and collaborate with other disciplines.

We have career opportunities available for critical care nurses on all shifts, including Two-Day Alternative, weekdays, nights and PRN, and at all of our system hospitals.
