Float Pool Nurse
Schedule flexibility, high hourly pay rates, valuable benefits – and the experience of a lifetime. That’s what you get when you join the Baylor float pool. At Baylor, you can apply your passion for nursing in a supportive teaching environment that encourages your growth as a nursing professional.
Baylor’s nurses are empowered to make decisions that improve patient care. We are committed to a shared leadership model that encourages all staff nurses to be actively involved in setting the clinical policies and procedures for their unit.
As an RN in our float pool, you can chart your own course. Our flexible and adaptable float nurses work in a variety of challenging, fast-paced hospital units, expanding their already-strong skills in many specialties. They prescribe, delegate, coordinate and deliver patient care. They ensure that patient care meets our high standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations. They supervise care delivered by the patient care team; coordinate the plan of care; educate patients and staff; and collaborate with other disciplines.
As a member of the Baylor float pool, you’ll not only have the chance to work in different units from week to week, you’ll have the best opportunity to consistently achieve your monthly hour commitment. Or if you prefer to work as a float nurse on a full-time basis, our float pool offers full-time positions with the complete package of benefits.
