Registered Nurse - Senior Adult Unit - Night Shift PT
About the Job
The R.N. Staff Nurse selected for this position will provide professional nursing care on the Senior Adult Unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Two Rivers Hospital and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The R.N. Staff Nurse prescribes coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process, which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The R.N. Staff Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis including admissions, discharges, groups, medication management and other duties as assigned. R.N. Staff Nurse is also responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. The R.N. Staff Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required. 
Job Requirements:
Successful candidates will work part-time on our night shift (7:00 pm to 7:30 am) two days during the week with alternate weekends on our Senior Adult Unit.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
Experience: One year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing and providing care for senior adult patients is strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensure and registration by the Missouri Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.
