PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
The Registrar is the initial contact for phone inquiries by students interested in enrolling in a BAR/BRI course.  The Registrar answers questions on BAR/BRI courses, sends out informational materials, registers students and processes billing and payment. 
 
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
 
1. Answers incoming calls, responds to requests for information on course dates, location, price and content. Promotes BAR/BRI courses by emphasizing the features and benefits.  Maintains a working knowledge of BAR/BRI courses and upcoming course schedules.
 
2.  Enrolls students by entering information into the computer registration system, processes payment and mails out relevant course materials to prospective students and enrolled students. 
 
3.  Prepares cash reports and weekly deposits. Processes credit card payments. Issues refunds. Prepares and distributes computer billing request.
 
4.  Resolves billing discrepancies between enrollment data and payment amounts by phone or in writing. Resolves delinquent accounts. 
 
6.  Performs additional general administrative functions.


Education 


  • High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of general office practices

  • Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Clear and pleasant voice, good interpersonal skill and phone etiquette

  • Good organizational and time skills
