POSITION INFO:
Basic Research is looking for a new Regulatory Affairs Specialist to help work as a member of the regulatory team. Basic Research distributes innovative formulations that address the specific needs of consumers – from weight loss to bodybuilding, anti-aging, joint health, skin care, cosmetics, and more.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for; reviewing marketing advertisements, labels, substantiation claims, creating regulatory forms and procedures, and reviewing scientific studies for accuracy.
POSITION DUTIES:
• Review marketing text for advertising, banners and brochures and makes sure it meets government standards
• Review labels and cartons to ensure they meet governmental requirements
• Match label info to formula, directions, cautions, and trademarks making sure all wording is correct
• Review substantiation claims be ensuring they accurately reflect government regulations
• Document job requirements, create flow-maps, forms, and procedures for all regulatory job functions
• Stay abreast on government changes to regulatory regulations by attending regulatory trainings and seminars
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's in business, marketing or related field or relative experience
• Minimum of 2 years of regulatory experience working with a nutraceutical and/or cosmetic company
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
• Good understanding of government regulations and processes
• Action-oriented style of work and an ability to consistently exceed agreed upon expectations
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability communicate to international agencies
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
