Senior Configuration Engineer

Position Description:

Responsible for administration and support of the SCCM environment.  Works directly with management and users to analyze and specify new technology opportunities and make system recommendations.  Schedules, plans, and recommends hospital wide deployments based on industry best practice.  Provides mentoring and coaching duties to lower level engineers in the development and support of the desktop environment.  Ensures proper testing is completed prior to production rollouts.  Prepares project plans and provides estimates for project tasks and assists with prioritization.     


Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and a current SCCM certification with a minimum of ten (10) years experience or a Bachelors degree with a minimum of seven (7) years experience required.  Extensive knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) with experience working in medium to large environments required.  Experience working with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems and network protocols and standards.  Thorough knowledge of Windows Server OS, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, image deployment, software deployment, asset intelligence, and software updates.  Knowledge of mobile devices, desktop encryption, scripting language, virtualization of OS and applications (App-V), and Anti-virus is preferred.  Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills required.
