As a Reimbursement Specialist for Financial Services Unit with Gentiva, you will:
•Identify cash remittances by system categories and contact branches or organizations when needed to determine application.
•Receive daily deposit of insurance checks, and forward to appropriate parties for information.
•Key checks into computer data base, verifying all checks were received. Prepare notice of those items that cannot be applied to a specific invoice. Research and supply back-up information.
•Balance and post cash the day it is received, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate reimbursement.
•Provide and review statistical information in analyzing accounts received.
•Examine cash reports and identifies errors caused by differences in expected reimbursement rates.
•Prepare necessary adjusting entries for reimbursement variances, ensuring appropriate records are maintained for cost reporting.
•Research any cash application problems, and take the appropriate corrective action.

Qualifications
•High School Diploma or the equivalent
•One year accounting related experience generally required
•Knowledge of heath care billing and collection procedures and microcomputer software/hardware
•Effective communication skills
