The Reimbursement Supervisor is responsible for all collection and reimbursement-related functions including, but not limited to:
· Managing a team of Reimbursement Representatives and a team of people in supporting functions
· Interviewing potential new hires and helping to build a cohesive team
· Training and coaching Reimbursement staff
· Communicating with office team members, centers and others in management
· Carrying out plans to reach Reimbursement goals
· Submitting claims to and collecting payment from Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, private insurance and patients
· Working and reviewing aged accounts to ensure collection of funds
· Working and reviewing adjustments and refunds
A Reimbursement Supervisor is also charged with recommending ways to further improve collections while significantly reducing write-offs and the DSO. Requirements
The successful candidate must have prior experience with collections and reimbursement procedures, preferably in a healthcare environment. Experience with Information Systems is also a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also a must. Candidates who possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills will be valued greatly. This person must also be dependable, responsible and computer literate. Some travel is required for this position. This position requires a High School diploma or GED and 1 – 3 years experience in a supervisory role.
