Release Coordinator
CGI is looking for a Release Coordinator to join a large and growing healthcare project in our Baltimore office. The project maintenance includes enhancements, software changes, fixes, data cleanups, and special projects such a data extract and technical improvements.
Position Description:
o Active participant in the Planning and Scheduling Team. The Planning and Scheduling Team includes the Scheduler and Release Coordinators from each of the project's system contractors and the client's Project Manager. The Planning and Scheduling Team recommends approval of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Additionally, the Planning and Scheduling Team makes recommendations concerning potential issues to the client Project Controls Team. o Must understand the Statement of Work (SOW) and demonstrate its relationship to the schedule. o Must understand how to plan the work and incorporate the work into government client schedules in order to accomplish the tasks for the projects releases. o Responsible for identifying interface points in the release schedule with other project contractors, and shall also identify any risks associated with the schedule o Responsible for maintaining the Baseline Schedule issued to the client Project Manager using the required electronic format. o Can-do attitude- this person must be hands-on and is required to work closely with other team Release Coordinators o Strong analytical, problem solving, and reading comprehension skills. Strong customer-facing skills
Required Skills: Experience working on full lifecycle implementation teams - SDLC experience required Strong oral and written communication skills (client facing) Good reporting skills, e.g. graphical presentation, Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel (macros), Project, Visio. Advanced Microsoft Project skills EVM experience a plus
Non Essential Skills: o Managing many diverse tasks at once (Integrating Project Schedules for the MARx and PWS Subsystems) o Experience performing tasks associated with Release Management in a Software Development Lifecycle Environment
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science, minimum 3 years experience working in business IT consulting, preferably federal IT with a large firm that has strong project management processes and quality assurance certifications such as CMMI (level 3 or 4 preferred), ISO9001.
