Reliability Engineer
Position Description:
As a member of the maintenance improvement program reporting to the Maintenance Improvement Manager, the Reliability Engineer performs functions to implement a preventive /predictive maintenance program which will maximize site equipment reliability and develop strategies and methods that improve site preventive/predictive maintenance. The position is based in Pulaski, Virginia.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ground up population of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Work and collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain specific targets, strategies and tactics to maximize equipment availability to drive asset productivity improvements. Work closely with maintenance and/or production personnel to resolve chronic equipment related issues by appropriately using reliability tools such as: Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM); Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA); Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA); and Predictive technologies such as thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and acoustic monitoring.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills, written, oral, and interpersonal. Attention to detail, and continual diligence about follow-up. Must be able to lead and be a part of cross functional teams. Knowledgeable of root cause and fault tree analysis techniques. Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software). CMMS skills in MP2 or similar systems.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical). (preferred) 1 or more years experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
