Reliability Superintendent

Description:
The Reliability Superintendent manages all aspects of the Rotating Equipment, Electrical and Instrumentation Supervision and Engineering team, including direction-setting, personnel development, oversight of work quality, establishment of standards, development and implementation of improvements, and measurement of results.

In conjunction with the Lead Maintenance Superintendent and other Maintenance Superintendents, the Reliability Superintendent provides leadership of Routine Maintenance activities at Toledo Refinery. In addition to overseeing execution of maintenance for assigned disciplines, leading the Reliability strategy and providing the primary focus for proactive, reliability-driven Maintenance, the Reliability Superintendent provides support in implementing and improving the Maintenance Work Practices, with the objective of achieving the business goals, including HSSE, Availability and cost management objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience in maintenance repairs, engineering and reliability activities.
- Refinery and/or petrochemical experience required

Job Specific:
- Has specific skills and knowledge of maintenance work practices, equipment, and test methods.
- Has a working knowledge of relevant engineering practices.
- Recognizes applicable codes and standards as applied to the maintenance of refining equipment.
- Competent in reading technical drawings.
- Understands the union-company labor agreement.
- Supervisory skills in directing, appraising, counseling, and coaching employees.
- Management skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control and manpower requirements.
- Skilled in conducting an incident investigation.
- Demonstrated computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Excel, and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
