Remedy Developer/Administrator
The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, lead subsidiary of Cincinnati Financial Corporation, seeks a self motivated and collaborative IT professional with a strong background in BMC Remedy development and administration, BMC’s 7.03 ITSM suite and a solid understanding of SDLC, change and release management processes.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical and functional application support for Remedy and service management applications and related interfaces
Work in constantly changing environment and adapt to different work levels and customer knowledge.
Apply advanced technical knowledge in multiple areas to understand and fine tune current products performance
Use the Remedy AR system to code and test Remedy applications
Troubleshoot Remedy logs to resolve issues
Create and maintain documentation of build and release processes and application configuration to comply with audit requirements and industry best practices.
Gather requirements, develop technical specifications, maintain and modify existing custom tools supporting remedy technical services.
Analyze, design and develop enhancements in support of remedy application services
Requirements:
Education:
Required Skills:
Minimum 2 years working with release management processes
Minimum 4-6 years current experience as a Remedy developer/administrator.
Working knowledge of Windows and Unix server environments
Experience with software controls tools and concepts
Experience with software build tools and scripting tools (shell command scripts)
Experience with BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite
Experience with BMC Remedy Development (active links, filters, escalations, forms, menus, etc…)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with developers, QA teams and functional managers
Strong detail-oriented, problem solving and organizational skills
Motivated, creative, hands-on and focused individual with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
Qualified candidates have knowledge of:
MKS Integrity Suite, BMC Remedy and ITSM applications
Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
Crystal Reports
ITIL concepts and practices
