Help Desk Analyst

Duties/Requirements:
- Respond to queries and expeditiously fulfill service requests
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve application incidents
- Perform root cause analysis and develop checklists for typical problems
- Escalate incidents to the Helpdesk Supervisor or Level 2 experts when appropriate according to established procedures
- Frequently update ticket status in the Remedy ticket tracking application
- Alert management of critical incidents and recurring problems or incident trends
- Serve as a liaison between end users, technical and functional support groups and the Central Service Desk
- Provide prompt and courteous service in conformance with established mayoral service standards
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System (XP and 7).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (2003 and 2007) and remote desktop tools
- Strong communications skills
- Must be willing to work a flexible and/or rotating work schedule (may include evenings and weekends)
- 2+ years of Helpdesk support experience within an MIS environment is required
- Experience using Remedy Incident Management System preferred
