Title:  Replenishment Manager


 


Department: Retail, Planning and Allocation


 


Objective:


Responsible for supervision and direction of replenishment team which reviews, sets up, and monitors items set up to automatically replenish.  Analyze store and item productivity on a regular basis to ensure the execution of corporate sales and inventory objectives.  Regularly report on replenishment metrics.  Train and develop replenishment staff.


 


Plan and direct execution of new store sales and inventory by department.  Coordinate regular review sessions with store planners to keep task on schedule.  Manage and update store matrices and communicate to stores.  Conduct regular follow-up meetings and reporting to optimize sales and receipts.


 


Key Responsibilities


       Manage team of replenishers who are responsible for execution of replenishment set-ups, maintenance, and orders.


       Collaboratively set goals by FOB (Family of Business) by season to maximize replenishment sales and minimize out-of-stocks.


       Review and challenge replenishment assortments to ensure alignment with company sales and inventory objectives.


       Directs the analysis of stores’ SKU, size, and color productivity seasonally and recommends stock balancing, consolidations, rollouts of replenishment merchandise.


√       Regularly reviews replenishment parameters to maximize sales and minimize out-of-stocks.


√       Reviews replenishment orders on a weekly basis.


√       Regularly reports replenishment statistics to merchants and P&A.


√       Participates in the resolution of individual store issues.


√       Participates in the development of ad hoc reports to provide accurate and timely information as the business dictates.


√       Leads the training of New Hire Replenishers.


√       Participate in Company and brand initiatives as appropriate.  Participate in assortment meetings, contributing input on distribution strategies.


√       Develop new store weekly sales plan for initial season based on proforma sales plan. Complete all revisions to opening dates as they occur throughout the season.


√       Create new store department and class plans for each stores’ initial season. 


√       Develop grand opening sales plan for each new store.


√       Responsible for implementing and executing new store calendar for each month.


√       Coordinate vendor matrix for each store’s grand opening receipts. Track on-order vs plan for new store receipts to ensure adequate presentations at store opening.


√       Schedule conference call with RVP/DMs one month after each store opening.


√       Provide analysis by store to management and planners by store for the first 3 months the store is open.


 


Skills Required:


§        Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word


§        Effective verbal and written communication skills (clear and concise)


§        Ability to work as a cross-functional team leader


§        Willingness to consult multiple resources to obtain answers


§        Multi-task efficiency


§        1-2 year’s experience as a Planner/Analyst or equivalent


§        1-3 years’ experience of retail buying, planning or related analytical experience.


§        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required Able to formally present business strategies and action plans


§        Demonstrate logical analysis and problem-solving skills


§        Possesses a clear understanding of financial measurement which could include:  sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI), weeks of supply (WOS), etc. and how to impact them
