Leptos Biomedical, Inc. is a Minneapolis, MN based medical device company currently engaged in U.S. clinical trials to develop a proprietary neuromodulation therapy for metabolic disorders.  The treatment is delivered via a pacemaker-type device and involves electrical activation of a specific nerve in the autonomic nervous system. Leptos believes this therapy may offer an effective, minimally invasive, reversible surgical option for people suffering from chronic metabolic disorders such as Type 2 Diabetes.

 Leptos is seeking to add a research analyst/biostatistician to support ongoing research and clinical studies. 

The research analyst/biostatistician will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide expertise in support of ongoing and future clinical trials and clinical and preclinical research activities. 

Major Responsibilities

1. Primary analyst of  Research and Clinical data in support of therapy development and clinical trial execution


2. Perform analysis of metabolic physiology and clinical endpoint data and generate summary reports for internal and external customers


3. Setup and maintain summary database of clinical trial metrics


4. Analysis of physiologic measurements from acute and chronic preclinical experiments

Position Requirements 

• Master’s degree in biostatistics, mathematics or relevant experience


• Minimum 2-5 yrs. working with life science databases and statistical analysis tools


• Minimum 1yr. of research data analysis experience with medical device or pharmaceutical clinical or preclinical research


• Knowledge and experience with metabolic physiology and anatomy a plus
