Duties And Responsibilities: Collaborate with medical researchers and senior statisticians on national and international multi-center pediatric/perinatal AIDS clinical trials and observational studies. Duties include clinical trial and observational study design and review, forms design and review; stratification/randomization of studies; statistical programming, data analysis, and report and manuscript writing. Candidate will serve on and may chair internal CBAR committees. **Please note this position is grant funded to 10/31/2011.**
Basic Qualifications: MA/MS in biostatistics/statistics or epidemiology required. Biostatistical and epidemiological course work, experience with clinical trials or observational studies, failure time and categorical data, and statistical software such as SAS, Splus or R required. Candidate must be self-motivating, able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, have a background in collaborative research, and communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Position could potentially involve work on both clinical trials and observational studies.
