JPS Health Network continues to serve the needs of the families in Tarrant County, working to improve health status and access to health care. The facilities at 1500 South Main have grown to a hospital licensed for 567 beds along with a freestanding outpatient care center and a dedicated facility for psychiatric services. The new patient tower currently under construction across from John Peter Smith Hospital and our new hospital in Arlington take us into our next era.

Description:  Under the supervision of the Vice President Academic Affairs, Director of Clinical Research, the Research Associate provides support to faculty, Housestaff, and academic leaders in preparing scientific/medical writing, including grants, articles and proposals, and supports the Office of Research and Scholarly Activity within the Department of Academic Affairs.  Additionally, the individual performs a variety of secretarial, clerical, editorial and general office functions and other duties assigned.

Qualifications:  Master's level education (MPH,MS) with biostatistics background required.  Typing required, 40 wpm with 2% error rate.  Experience with word processing (Microsoft Word/Office, etc.), spreadsheets (Excel, etc.), and database (Microsoft Access, etc.), and statistical software (SPSS or SAS) required.  Experience with computerized presentation (PowerPoint, etc.) required.
