The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), the world’s first and largest circulation auditing firm is seeking an entry-level Research Auditor for our Schaumburg, IL headquarters.

Who is ABC?

ABC is a nonprofit circulation-auditing firm.  We were formed in 1914 when advertisers, advertising agencies and publishers wanted to establish ground rules for reporting circulation statistics. Enforcing those rules as well as providing standardized audited circulation information to buyers and sellers of print media advertising – for the sake of credibility – are ABC’s goals.

How do we conduct our audits?

As part of the job duties the Research Auditor works independently to complete multiple audit assignments.  Auditors conduct custom and syndicated research study audits and analyze research study data based on defined sampling criteria with the aid of analytic software.    The Research Auditor also assists in the development and testing of audit techniques using audit software (ACL) specific to the department.  Up to 5% travel, possibly international, as needed.

Do you have what it takes?

Our ideal candidates will have:

• Four-year degree required, preferably in Accounting or Management Information Systems.
  
• Relevant business experience a plus

• Strong proficiency in the use of business software such as spreadsheets and data processing
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and resolve audit issues
  
• Ability to work with various levels of management, members, and staff in a team environment
  
• Computer programming and experience with research gathering a plus
  
• Basic understanding of Audit Command Language (ACL) a plus
