About the Job

HealthCore, Inc, a health services research firm headquartered in Wilmington, DE, is currently seeking a Research Data Coordinator to work in our Wilmington, DE office. Founded in 1996, and now an independently-operating subsidiary of WellPoint, Inc., HealthCore provides the health care system, biopharmaceutical industry, academia, and the federal government with "real-world" data to improve the quality, safety, and affordability of healthcare. HealthCore's projects range from retrospective to large-scale, prospective studies in the areas of drug, vaccine, and medical device safety surveillance, risk management, pharmacoepidemiology, health outcomes, pharmacoeconomics, and comparative effectiveness research.
Primary duties include:
* Provides support for data management processes and systems.
- Helps coordinate company processes and policies related to external data collection (generally in the form of medical record abstraction or member/physician surveys).
- Ensures development and design of data collection forms are in accordance with the study protocol and established clinical and data management standards.
- Reviews vendor invoices against project documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Manages all survey instrument licensing and contracting.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including IRB submission, Privacy and HIPAA.
- Maintains good working relationships with internal and external clients as well as vendors.
* Coordinates and performs all HealthCore in-house medical record redaction (de -identification) and quality check activities to ensure projects are meeting company PHI -use standards..
- Functions as Subject Matter Expert for medical record redaction.
- Acts as quality control for redactions done by other HealthCore associates confirming complete de-identification.
* Conducts data reviews for completeness and consistency.
- Independently reviews all data files from vendor to ensure consistency with requirements.
- Coordinates cumulative QC of survey and chart data files across project team and with vendor until final signoff.
- Performs survey and chart abstraction testing on vendor documents.

Requirements & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Epidemiology, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Natural Sciences or related field.
* 2-3 years of experience in research data collection and data collection coordination efforts required. Experience with survey or chart-abstracted research and knowledge of medical chart components desired. Data management experience a plus.
* Proven attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
* Evidence of self-sufficiency and independence in data collection responsibilities.
* Minimal travel may be required. Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems preferred.
