JOb Title: Research and Development Specialist
Reports to: Research and Development Project Manager
Based at: Sany America, Inc. -- Peachtree City, GA
Job purpose: Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised R&D Projects.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
2. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span.
3. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
4. Advanced technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
5. Problem analysis and problem resolution in Hydraulics, Electrical, Cooling, and Engine Installation systems.
6. Advanced skills in product testing, data acquisition, and analysis.
7. Advanced skills in blueprint reading, manufacturing/quality processes, and equipment.
8. Advanced skills in welding fabricated fixtures, structures, and assemblies.
9. Ability to operate fork trucks, hoists, and mobile hoist equipment.
10. Possess or ability to obtain CDL.
11. High performing, quality and detailed oriented team player with ability to train employees in manufacturing processes and operations.
12. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
1. Technical degree and/or minimum 10 years related experience.
2. Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
