Position Description

Research Epidemiologist 1 - Waltham, MA

Manage the day-to-day operations and conduct research for epidemiology studies, including cohort studies with available data from databases, cohort studies with primary data collection, case-control studies, and literature reviews, among others. Work may include project planning and start-up, data collection and processing, data analyses, organizing meetings, writing reports and manuscripts, and other management and research tasks directed by a Senior Research Epidemiologist.

Responsibilities

* Manage administrative aspects of project implementation;
* Create and track project timelines;
* Track budgets via monthly cost-to-complete meetings;
* Assist with proposal development under direction of a Senior Research Epidemiologist;
* Generate study protocols, reports, questionnaires and publications under direction of a Senior Research Epidemiologist;
* Manage internal and external communications for research projects;
* Serve as a client contact;
* Facilitate project team and client meetings;
* Assist in providing information regarding project status, issues and risks for RTI-HS leadership;
* Take responsibility for contracts and invoicing management;
* Manage the quality assurance activities for the project;

Assist with literature reviews and other research projects under direction of a Senior Research Epidemiologist

Qualifications

* Master's degree in epidemiology or related field.
* Prefer at least 3 years relevant experience in CRO or pharmaceutical industry.
* Familiarity or proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and SAS and possessing strong written and verbal communication skills
