The Research Technologist in the Structural Biology Department will participate in structural and biochemical characterization of multi-protein machines that regulate cell division and have roles in cancer. The focus is on understanding the assembly and regulation of enzymes that control cell proliferation by a series of dynamic molecular handoffs for the protein, ubiquitin. The Research Technologist assists with data collection and analysis in an entry level capacity, properly conducts specifics projects, and maintains efficient laboratory operations. Perform research experiments involving molecular biology, protein purification, multi-protein complex assembly and characterization, protein crystallization, and cell culture. The ideal candidate would also have strong knowledge of fundamental principles of molecular biology and biochemistry; high degree of motivation and dedication to the job; and excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
