Job Duties Include:Â Responsible for the delivery of respiratory care services in the patients' homes or Home Care locations. This includes the setup, delivery, assembly, and training of patients in the safe and effective use of home medical equipment. Responsible for being available on an on-call status as required.
Responsible for the clinical assessment and evaluation of the patient, caregivers' ability, and the home environment. Responsible for providing appropriate care/intervention to ensure the best outcome of patient care in stat or emergency situations. Responsible for coordinating the care delivered to the patient with other healthcare providers and development of the plan of care with the patient's physician.
Documents all information required including delivery information, services provided, patient information, information regarding the usage of equipment, education delivered, and expenses on the proper forms as described in Company policy and procedure or regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved AMA Respiratory Care Program
- Credentialed as either a Certified Respiratory Care Technician (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed, if required, by the state(s) in which he/she will practice. An exception will be made if the practitioner is eligible for license, and application is made prior to employment
- Two years of experience in the following areas: acute care, home care, or long-term care. If the individual lacks experience in these areas, that individual will be hired at a lower rate.
- Worked independent of direct supervision in the clinical area
